Hi,
I administer a 2016 Active Directory. I have a GPO to map printers to users. In that GPO, I define a Preference for printers, with a list of printers, targeted by OU. The GPO is linked to Domain, and filtered to Authenticated Users, so that a user that belongs to the Organizational Unit 01. Commerce, maps two printers, Commerce_1 and Commerce_2, and a user that belongs to OU 02. Sales maps two others, Sales_1 and Sales_2.
From time to time, very frequently, users from one user calls to the call center complaining about they don't have printers. To solve the problem, I have to edit the GPO, go to the Target as item level and choose again the OU. The example is for the sake of explanation, in fact there are many OU's involved in each printer.
After choosing again the Ou's, the printers map correctly again. So at the begining, I thought the obvious: someone is changing the name of the OU's. But after several weeks of happening several times a day, I doubt someone is renaming OU's so frequently.
Any clue about how to track this issue?
Thanks
