I can no longer access my DVD/CD drive on my HP Windows 7

After trying to load an old version of Pinnacle Studio, I can no longer access my DVD/CD drive on my HP Windows 7 desktop. Name of device is:

hp CDDVDW TS-H653R SCSI CdRom Device


I removed Pinnacle but problem persists. I suspect driver was changed or corrupted. Troubleshooter does not fix. Not sure how to fix issue. Has anyone had similar issue and how did you resolve?
