Vista re-activation w/nForce4 Serial ATA Controller

When is Microsoft going to fix this problem?

This is like the forth update Microsoft has released for the nForce4 Serial
ATA Controller. Everytime I download the nForce4 Serial ATA Controller
Update, my Windows Vista magically says I installed New Hardware (Which I
didn't, I just installed a Driver Update which MICROSOFT published) and I
must call the 1-800 number and speak to a Microsoft Representative just to
activate my geniune Windows Vista which was already activated before it got
de-activated after I installed the Windows Vista update that Microsoft
published.

I'm starting to get angry and annoyed here.

4th time! How many times does Microsoft have to slap you in the face before
you take action and stop using their pathetic "operating system"? There are
free alternatives that don't impose restrictions on the end-users, work
much better and securely than the toy "operating system" Microsoft sells.
I'm sure Alias will inform you of the alternatives.

It is a notoriously bad idea to download drivers from WU/MU, and has
been for years. If what you have works, and it ain't broke, then don't
replace it with a new driver or file update! Especially when it messes
with the buggy DRM crap in Vista.
