I am trying to install an application on a Windows Server 2016 Datacentre edition and it fails as it tries to add a domain user to a local group. The command it is issuing is cmd.exe /c net.exe localgroup "Plus Admins" "domain/sa_serviceacct" /add.
The command looks correct and when executed correctly the only difference is the "/" in the account name. I have spoken to the vendor and they state that our lockdown has caused this issue, but I am at a loss how our lockdown can change the direction of a \ to a /. We are following the security best practices for Server 2016 and this has been beating me up for weeks.
Any suggestions on what this could potentially be would be most welcome..
