I saw a thread on this topic. Unfortunately, it is locked. I just encountered the same problem today because for presentation purposes, I need to miracast my android phone to my windows 10 PC. I have googled a lot of information and followed all the steps. But I still can't miracast because it is blocked by the PC when I clicked the Connect app. The settings for the Connecct app is:
1. For projecting to this PC:
- Available everywhere
- Ask to project to this PC: everytime a connection is requested
- Require PIN for pairing: Never
- PC can be discovered only when plugged to power source: Off
2. Windows Defender Firewall turned off for domain, private, public network.
3. Running dxdiag shows that Miracast: Available, with HDCP
3. My PC Acer Aspire V is discoverable my my android phone running Android 9. But running the Connect App shows:
PCNAME is ready for you to connect wirelessly. Version 10.0.18362.387 . Protected content can't be viewed on this device.
