I am looking for a solution that will perform a "health check" on incoming VPN client connections. I want this solution to check the clients computer for 1) AV being installed, 2) AV updated, 3) Up to date with Windows Updates. If the client passes the health check they are allowed onto the the VPN.
Currently, clients connect via VPN. That request then gets sent to a RADIUS server (Network Policy Server) that checks to see if its a member of my vpn users group. If so then it passes the password to our Domain Controller for authentication.
This works great for access but now I want to run a check on these incoming VPN connections and make sure AV is installed, AV is updated, All windows updates are applied.
Would Network Access Protection be the solution for this?
