Question as titled, I'm very irritated because this happens still. This has happened since Windows 7 on every feature update... We are in 2019..... Why does Microsoft continue to allow Windows OS feature updates to reset user settings? This is an absolute time dump for people and is completely unnecessary. Since there is no Feedback Hub, I'm posting this here because this is uncalled for and settings should easily be transitioned through an update.
Also, since I'm here, why does Microsoft continue to make Windows settings more and more difficult to navigate through? I had to make my own shortcut to access Sound Control Panel, for crying out loud... you used to be able to simply double click the Sound icon in the taskbar tray to open this, now you have to go into Sound Settings and Sound Control Panel is under related settings. And you can't even pin the Sound shortcut to the taskbar... This is a mockery to anyone using audio interfaces, multiple speakers, or microphones. Why do we seriously have to go through multiple pages upon pages to access such simple things?
Windows 10 is by far the least user-efficient experience in all of the Windows OS I have used since Windows 95. I have used Windows 95, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10.
And I thought Vista was bad.
