Promote secondary dc 2008 r2 to 2012

Hello

We have secondary dc with server 2008 ( primary is 2012 )

All roles sits on primary server 2012 , now we would like to promote 2008 server to 2012

Is there any considerations that need to be taken or just upgrading the OS to 2012
