An unusual one.
A customer has been using Windows Live mail for the last 5 or so year without problem. The added an IMAP account (using the same address as the POP account they have been using for years) and didn't delete the pop account - not ideal but probably not the cause of the problem.
So they also have a gmail account they have been using.
So today they are getting a time out error and this is what I have tried:
Installed Thunder bird: Cannot add gmail account at all (cannot connect to server). Managed to add pop account but cannot receive and send failes.
Same thing for latest outlook office 365.
Uninstalled WLM
run SFC /scannow - no issues.
Disabled firewall and eset Nod32 Antivirus
Tried setting emails in a brand new Windows user profile
Everything I have tried has the same result - Pop, Imap SMTP don't seem to be able to connect to the internet and fins servers.
The also have a database system that sends & received emails direct from toe internet - doesn't not use any client at all.
Any ideas???
