Old Compaq computer, says Windows Vista is not a legal copy

I just broke out an old Compaq computer that I retired a few years ago.

The computer came on but indicates that the version of Vista I have on it is not valid...

Can not do anything with it and I know its a valid version, upgrade was sent by Microsoft to upgrade XP...

What can I do?
