What file do I transfer from the cd to restore the power scheme? Thanks.

To restore the power scheme? What do you mean? Is the Control Panel option for
Power missing, or what? You need to supply a bit more info to clarify what is
"missing", or what doesn' work, and what is still there.

In the Power Management Properties window, there are no longer any
Power Schemes on the Power Schemes tab, the drop down menu is blank.
Below the Save As and Delete buttons, there's the word "Unknown" and
the options below that are grayed out The Power Management icon is
still in Control Panel.

Is there a fix for this?

"Script & .reg file to restore the default Power Policies to the Power Management
control panel"

Download the linked "powerfix.zip":
http://members.bellatlantic.net/~mrscary/scripts/powerfix.zip

Unzip the .reg file and the .vbs file
Double-click the PowerFix.vbs script to run it.
Then, merge the PowerFix.reg file into the Registry by either double-clicking it, or
right-clicking it and selecting Merge on the context menu, and click OK to the
confirmation message.

You may need to log off and back on, but possibly not.

Post back with your results.
