Currently I use windows 10 on my pc and after my most recent update to version 1909 my sound has stopped working. There is x icon in the audio icon and said that The audio service is not running.
I try check in services.msc but can't find Windows Audio service there. There is only Windows Audio Endpoint Builder.
What I have tried:
1) I uninstalled and reinstalled audio drivers/devices (I cannot roll back any of these as that is not an option given)
2) ran SFC /SCANNOW in command prompt as admin - it stops at 10%
3) ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - stopped at 48.1%
4) ran sc query audiosrv with this result
SERVICE_NAME: audiosrv
TYPE : 10 WIN32_OWN_PROCESS
STATE : 1 STOPPED
WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 193 (0xc1)
SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)
CHECKPOINT : 0x0
WAIT_HINT : 0x0
So my Question
1. how to get back The Windows Audio Service. Is there hidden somewhere on my machine?
2. If the Windows Audio Service really missing can I add or install manually??
