How to retrieve files copied to clipboard Win 8

URGENT HELP PLEASE I accidentally cut the file containing all of my emails from Windows Live Mail directory to copy to external drive, I don't know what I did but they disappeared (maybe I hit cut) anyway I have lost the whole file and contents and I desperately need them as I have a legal case and lots of info in there that I need. Can anyone please help? It's Windows 8 Ver 6.3 and using Windows live mail
