Is there a permanent solution for this?

Has MS identified a permanent solution for this? We have hundreds of servers, and it's a guessing game after every update is pushed out as to which server is stuck in this loop. Their safe-mode fix is not acceptable as the updates are done in the early morning hours and these systems are mission critical. Microsoft is making us look foolish in the eyes of everyone!
