I have a 2012 server that hasn't installed updates since 12/2018 that was given to me to fix.
I've made enough progress to be able to get several kinds of updates to install but the December 2019 Monthly Rollup and IE11 continuously fail. The will install but fail during the "Configuring Windows updates" phase of the install.
I've tried installing each patch individually and also tried downloading the update from the Windows Update Catalog without change.
I've gone through most of the tips to fix the issue revolving around resetting Windows Update.
I see quite a bit of "HR = 0x800F0920" in cbs.log but don't know how to proceed.
The importance of this server requires me to try and resolve the issue before attempting to re-install as that is the clients request.
