Re-install CAL in new server

Dears,

We have RDS (CAL) 2012 installed in our server, now we want to format our server and install new windows version(2016) therefore i have the following questions:

1- How can i re-install the CAL again in the new windows while i forget/lost the licence key of this CAL.
2- if i installed windows server 2016 , is the CAL 2012 working in the windows server 2016 or not?
