Hello!
There were two domain controllers with forest levels and the "windows 2016" domain. Migration to new servers based on Windows 2019 is carried out. New servers are configured, replication between them works. The first domain controller was demoted the domain controller role (FSMO roles transferred to new servers). It was not possible to lower the role of an additional domain controller to a regular server. Error:
"The operation failed because:
A domain controller could not be contacted for the domain corp.applecat.com that contained an account for this computer. Make the computer a member of a workgroup then rejoin the domain before retrying the promotion.
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. "
What does it mean? Please help me solve the problem.
