How can I tell whether it is Windows 32-bit or 64-bit

I have just purchased a new PC with Windows Vista Home Premium. The
processor is AMD 64 Athlon (time) 2. How can I tell whether I am using
32-bit or 64-bit windows?

Hi,

Most are sold with 32-bit (x86) as that is more compatible with available
hardware. There is very little software available for the home user that
would take advantage of 64-bit processing currently. Click start, type
"control system" and check the dialog box for the installed type.
