I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop, it's probably around 5 years old now, and is running Windows 7 Pro Service pack 1. I really like the laptop so don't want to buy a new one unless i really need to. I use the laptop for regular tasks, including using Windows Office programs, internet and email, very occasionally use for streaming tv/video. I don't play games so don't need gaming levels of performance. The spec Microsoft suggests is the minimum required to run Windows 10 seems to be fine for my current laptop (see below for my Lenovo's spec) apart from the Graphics. My questions are: Will my current laptop run Windows 10 adequately for the tasks above. Do i need to install a new graphics card? Finally, I don't want to purchase Windows 10 only to find it doesn't work. Is there such a thing as a trial installation? Sorry, I've never had to upgrade an OS myself before.
