Vista wont start

I bought a new computer about 1 month ago.
It had vista installed already and was working perfectly until today.
I was just browsing the net and while trying to help my boyfriend with a
keylogger (it's hard to imagine but he actually knows less about computers
than I do) I went to download.com and I clicked on a program and thought I
might aswell install it in case I get problems in the future but unfortunetly
I didn't really look after I started the installation I noticed that it was
only an ad and not actually a program hosted by download.com (it was one of
those stupid programs that scans your drive then asks you to pay to remove
the risks) But I never even fully installed it before the computer froze, I
waited and waited but nothing happened so I decided to force a reboot.

Then I got two options, either to start windows with startrepairation
(running a swedish system so not sure about the correct translations) or to
start it normally.

It's not possible to start it using the startreparation it only renews the
countdown and refresht he screen and if I chose to start it normally it will
go to the loadning screen with the bar but will just stay like that forever
until I force it to reboot again and then the same procedure again.

What can I do I just finally managed to get all my files to the new computer
and I'll be devastated if I have to do it all again.

Thanks in advance.

Ok silly me starting to cry and get stressed before I think things through.

I pressed delete at start before I got to the two alternatives and then F8
then just started it with just basic programs and reseted the system to how
it was before I did the silly installation and voila it works again.

Sorry for crying wolf but hopefully this will help someone else :)

Joanna, don't worry none, we have all been there. Best to learn the lesson
though, research before you hit download.
