indexing issue

i am using windows server 2012r2 standard edition and and server is terminal server and this server is running on virtual machine. when my indexing value reaches till 10,000,00 is brokes down autometically and start wilth initial level and users gets irritated due to not able to search mail in outlook this problem i have facing from last 6 months but still there is solution i found yet . i also formatted the server once but still problem not resolved. request you to kindly do the need full.
