Issue:
I recently bought a display tablet for drawing (similar to Wacom drawing tablets), and tried to set up a dual-screen situation for my desktop.
But since then there are occasions where the screen just freezes and starts to flicker with lines and colours, almost like I'm in the nightclub.... All I could do was restart from the power button (keyboard does not work when it freeze)
I don't know what triggers it because it's completely random, it won't immediately start flickering when I start the PC, I thought it was the PC overheating and I've even switched a CPU fan. It could happen when I'm just watching YouTube (if there's audio there will be also really bad sound glitches), looking at Google Docs, or even just browsing through my folder. Once I even just accidentally kicked the desktop and it froze.
It usually only happens once per day, I use my PC a lot so it's also a bit weird that this glitch barely returns on the same day, and if it behaves well I could survive about three days without a freeze up.
I used to have an AMD graphics card however it died off after my unqualified fiddle to the desktop (it won't get recognised again and I can't install display driver for it)
So I'm currently running with the integrated graphics cardIntel HD Graphics 630
Both monitors and the display tablet can use HDMI cable, however, my motherboard only has one HDMI slot and one VGA slot. So I plugged the main monitor to VGA and tablet to HDMI. When it usually freeze, the main monitor would flicker (VGA) but the tablet will be fine, if I attempt to either switch off the monitor or unplug the VGA cable, the tablet will start to flicker.
What I've attempted to solve the issue:
clean the PC case- nothing happened
reinstall display driver- it was fine for two days and the same issue returned
take out the memory stick and plugged it back in - nothing happened
