802.1802.11d and 5GHz

Hi,

When I click on the properties of Network adaptors, for REALTEK RTL8723AE Wireless LAN 802.11 PCI-E NIC, under the advance tab, there is only 802.11d is listed and that is disabled. If I enable it, will I be able to connect to the 5GHz network of Sagecom F@st 5260CV router given by Optimum?

But my Network Adaptor is REALTEK RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11nPCI-E NIC however, when I click that and Advance it say 802.11d Enabled.

How do I get 5Ghz on my laptop or is it impossible?

I ordered a WIFI ADAPTER to actually get my computer to work faster. My speed test and service with Optimum SUCKS I need REAL TECH advice. Someone from this community told me to Enable the 802.11d but so for my computer is loosing wifi connection every 15 to 30 min while connected.

Can so one please help also please know I'm over 60 so please limit our tech jargon.

Thank you!

P.S. My last Speed Test was
