Hi;
I have a client who has a Windows 98 floppy with a file, DRVSPACE.000 file, on it and needs it. I am mostly a MAC-based developer, but even so, I managed to install VirtualBox and install an old Win98 system into it. However, after much googling and experimentation, perhaps 25 hours worth, cannot get to the file. I have made disk images and tried to mount them etc. Or tried 7zip, no luck.
Basically I am ready to throw in the towel, but I thought I would ask here, as I am not as proficient in Windows as I would like to be.
Is there software or service that can recover this file/floppy. it would be annoying and costly to have to retype and proofread the book that is on it.
