Hello,
After an update, the Windows Hello Fingerprint option is no longer available / doesnt work.
Here the info about my pc:
MODEL: HP 15-dw0014nl
Windows Version: 1909 (Build 18363.592)
I went to device manager and saw that there is a problem in the driver ELAN WBF Fingerprint Sensor.
Device Status:
This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
I am no pc expert and apart from checking for updates, I don't know what to do.
How can I solve the problem? I also tried to see if I could download the driver online in order to do uninstall&reinstall, but I couldn't find an official website and I didn't trust sources like softpedia.
Any help would really be appreciated.
