Hello, I am trying to track down the cause/repair to my PC hard rebooting. When i launch a game (borderlands 3) it will start to load up but then the PC will crash/reboot. there is no error message or even blue screen it just reboots my machine. I have tried with tech support for the game but that has led me no where. PC runs everything else I can throw at it just fine. scannow, windows memory test, memtest 86 overnight. I believe all drivers are up to date at this point.
When I look in the event viewer for the PC I get event ID 41 kernal-power errors that the shutdown was unexpected. The other errors I see are
Windows cannot load the extensible counter DLL "C:\Windows\system32\sysmain.dll" (Win32 error code The specified module could not be found.). event ID 1023
and
Unable to open the Server service performance object. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the status code. event ID 2004.
I am not sure how to track down these event viewer errors. Any thoughts or ideas on what to try next would be greatly appreciated.
