Hello,
I built this PC a few years ago, and received the livekernel event a few times, but in a very specific way:
1) my screen turns off
2) Sound continues to play.
3) All fans and computer itself seems to be on.
4) No video output to the tv either.
5) sound stops
6) Need to force restart pressing power button.
Ive also checked the timing of the various events: the livekernel hardware error always occurs one to two minutes before windows detects the improper shutdown, not sure if that is relevant.
This either happens when im playing a game, or have left for a while and the computer was supposed to be in sleep mode.
Its not connected to the "weight" of the game, happened once while using vr, but other times on older less stressful games such as New Vegas or FrostPunk. It seems to occur randomly.
It was once a month until this December, now i am getting one or two a week.
Its not the gpu, as I recently replaced this part.
Just used sfc/scannow in command prompt, says it repaired some files. Pretty sure i ran it before though to no effect.
I then tried dism/online/cleanup-image/restorehealth and i got error 87, no help
I ran chkdsk/scan - no problems.
GPU is not overheating.
Anyone have any advice?
