Changing domain name

Hi,

I have a domain with a name (domain.com.br). This domain has a named child domain (regional.domain.com.br).

I want to change this name to (domain.local).

What is the best procedure to perform this action?

NOTE: It is a small domain, without additional configurations such as trust and etc.
