We are using the BackupOperators group to manage permissions for a backup job. Three domain service accounts are in the BackupOperators group. The backup jobs run by a scheduled task have worked fine when the OS was Server 2008.
However, it was upgraded to Server 2012 on 1/24/20 and since then the backup job via the scheduled task no longer runs. Part of the backup job is to create two shared folders and provide the Backup Operators group with full control. Even though the three service accounts are in the backupoperators group they cannot access the file share by navigating to \\ServerName\FileShare.
According to the Effective Access for the service accounts, they do have full control over the file share but still cannot access it.
Does anyone know why this is happening with Server 2012 as this was not an issue with Server 2008?
