HP printer on shortcuts show locks

I updated with Microsoft a few days ago. Now my printer will not let me print on both side. All the printer choices are locked and it says to do it manually to print on the other side. I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it, but the four choices are still locked. Can not find where to remove the locks. Has this happened to any one else? Can you help me?
