I note that sometimes avi files are blocked by the pc,
in windows xp very easy to fix the problem but how to do that with
windows vista. Thanks

you may still need the proper codec... avi is a formatt, but inside of that
you still need to have the proper codec installed or videos wont play.. im
pretty sure there is nothing else in vista that would "block" a video file
from playing

There are so many avi formats it is hard to tell which codec is needed to
play any one format. There is a small program called "Gspot" which does not
have to be installed <stand-alone> that can tell you which codec is needed
and if it is installed.
