product key for windows 8 that I have lost

I have an Asus PC model laptop that once Windows 8 original has been installed on it. Due to a software problem, I installed another version of Windows that was not original, but I forgot to write my windows 8 product key. Is there a way I can find the previous product key? this key doesn't exist on the back of my laptop.
