Missing files

Recently reformated my computer and find that iecont.dll and iecontlc.dll
are missing. Where can I go to find them?

Windows version? IE version? What makes you think those files are missing?
How does your question relate to Windows Update?

Hi There,

I assume you are referring to missing files when tring to install windows
from cd?

If so your disc is damaged or you have bad memeory installed.

Best regards,
Michel Denie

What you're seeing is the default (expected) with IE7 installed. Don't
worry about it and don't rely on System Doctor for *anything*.

Hi Michel:

I, too, have received this message when accessing "System Information"
within Internet Explorer, Version 7. I accessed this by selecting Help in
the browser, then "About Internet Explorer" which then presents a dialogue
box with the option for System Information. Additionally, mine identifies
IECONTLC.DLL as missing.

My 'grumble' about this, is that, Microsoft does not provide ANY feedback
about this in their HELP resources. Would you know why this is? If these
are legitimate IE7 dll files, why not provide information through the KB
and/or other Microsoft resources?

When I did a search on this through those resources, the search led me to
this discussion. From reading other related issues here, I can see this is
an issue for a number of IE users (in addition to other Microsoft software)
and perhaps it is not the 'correct' place to ask the question, but is the
first choice in "Windows Live Search"

merci et bon soir
