Is there a way to collect perfmon data from multiple machines and store it to
some central repository automatically?

I belive Quest has something like this. You might try www.quest.com and
check out
their FogLight/SpotLight products.

That's the function performed by Microsoft's "System Centre Operations
Manager" product:

There are several other Microsoft products with various feature sets, in the
same Systems Centre family.
