I have acquired an IBM desktop with Windows XP. The OS was preinstalled on this PC so I don't have installation disks. The hard drive is 40 GB which I want to upgrade to something larger. Before doing this I attempted to create a recovery disk but received the message "The files required for creating the rescue media cannot be found." Is there any way to install the OS on the new drive without the installation disks. I know that XP is no longer supported by Microsoft but I need to keep XP to run many programs that will not run on my PC with Windows 10. This PC will never be connected to the internet so security is not an issue. Any help will be much appreciated.
