I have a Server 2016 with a MASSIVE MFT file. It is currently 39,167 MB and has been growing rapidly (about 4GB in last 9 days).
The C: drive size is 150GB and is 25% free.
I have been trying to find the cause by trial and error but getting nowhere.
If there a way to check what files are causing the MFT to grow by many MB per day?
By the way I have checked HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsMftZoneReservation and it is set to 0.
Thanks!
