EPSON Unfix-able Printer Error AFTER SOFTWARE UPDATE

I updated the Epson software on a WF-3620 printer and it had non Epson cartridges. It immediately went into 0x88 Error Code. I replaced the cartridges with Epson cartridges (at great expense) and the error will not clear. No internet advice will work and all controls pushed on the printer result in "This operation is invalid". Needless to say, I would appreciate any help--thanks so much!
