Fingerprint reader not working on Levovo X1 Yoga

I have had continuous problems with the fingerprint reader on my Lenovo X1 Yoga purchased in 2016 with Windows 10. I have reloaded drivers and got it working for a short time. Now under Settings/Input options it does not find a fingerprint reader. Under Device manager/Human interface devices, Fingerprint reader does not appear. is there a Driver that i need to reinstall? Thanks
