Hello all, I've recently encountered a problem with my computer, causing it to freeze everytime I use the internet. I've just installed the driver software for a wireless adapter I've had in my computer for ages. Immediately after installing the driver, the computer froze, I didn't mind it much and went to forcibly shut off my computer and restart it. After restarting, the wireless adapter worked and went to input my wifi password (note that I'm using my phone's mobile hotspot as internet) and my computer suddenly froze again. This kept going on even if I didn't connect to the internet. I've tried everything including cleanboot and the only two things that seem to work are disabling my adapter outright from the device manager, and using safe mode (safe mode with networking also works well with the adapter for some reason, and I can connect using it). I've also noticed a bit of sluggishness after installing the adapter, it's barely noticeable and I can tell it's there by the occasional stutter after boot. This adapter has been in my computer for a very long time, and I haven't used it much since I was always used to using an ethernet cable with our old internet, would physically removing it and putting it in another port work? If not, what else can I do to solve this issue?Sorry for the long post and I really hope you guys can help me with this problem, thanks in advance.
