Hello, I am running Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1. I have an application that requires Microsoft .Net Framework 4.6.2 or higher; I have 4.6.1 installed. When I attempt to install 4.6.2 or higher, the installation is not successful. A window appears with the title "Microsoft .Net 2015" and the message appears ".Net Framework 4.6.2 has not been installed because: A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider." All my attempts to resolve the issue have been unsuccessful. The window has a log file, when I access it "Final Result: Installation failed with error code: (0x800B0109), "A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider. " (Elapsed time: 0 00:02:47)." I attempted to repair the .Net Framework in "Programs and Features" but I've had no success. I searched the error (0x800B0109) and found a question from 2018 and I ran the command "sfc /scannow" as recommended. Some files were found corrupt but were repaired. I restarted the computer and attempted the installation of 4.6.2 but still no success.

Can anyone assist with resolving this?
