I receive the following error mesg when I attempt to upgrade from Windows 2008r2 to 2012 or 2012r2 this is the err mesg... what do I have to do to correct this since i can't seem to find anything on TECHNET. Nedd an answer QUICKLY as I'm going to be audited soon and will be heavily fined for have non-support software. Thank you!

"Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard cannot be upgraded to Windows server 2012 Standard Evaluation Server (Server with GUI). You can choose to install a new copy of Windows Server 2012 Standard Evaluation ( Server with GUI) instead but this is different from an upgrade, and does not keep your files..... "
