Connecting two pcs

I'm trying to connect my Windows XP PC to my windows 10 PC using an ethernet cable so can make the windows XP PC piggyback off my Windows 10 PC wifi bu there always a limited or no network error on the Windows XP PC and when I click fix it doesn't work please help.
