Computer is a Cyberpower Tracer III laptop running 64 bit Windows 10 with an Intel Core i7-9750H processor and a Realtek PCI-e GbE family ethernet controller. Every time the computer is restarted, I need to disable then re-enable the wired ethernet adapter before I can connect. Rebooting the router has a similar effect. Either way, I need to do this every time I turn the computer on.
Tried uninstalling VPN software as well as trying both wired ethernet connections to my router and directly to my cable modem with same symptom. Problem only became noticeable after disabling Wi-Fi on my computer. Since I'm shut in now due to social distancing, I've needed to rely on wired ethernet to provide me with maximal connection speeds for teleconferencing.
