hi All.
I am new to the server and networking world. However, I managed to install Windows Server 2012r2, had some file services running, Plex and an intranet music service. It has 3 lan ports, for now in a NIC team. The server is behind a Pfsense 2.4.4 Box.
All the CAT6 of my home network is connected to a Netgear GS324 switch.
I want to make Windows 2012r2 be the DHCP server on my network.
1. What would be the cable and teaming layout? I ask this because I think one port should not be teamed to be connected to the Pfsense box. Should this port be connected to the PfSense box?
2. How can I setup/connect the other two lan ports? Teamed?
3. Should the other 2 lan ports (teamed or not) be connected to the switch.
Finally, there are any pros-cons of having WS2012r2 acting as a DHCP server?
Thank you.
