recently we upgraded WIndows 2008R2 OS to Windows 2012 Std on few servers. After upgrade it was showing no Security updates in update history. All servers were virtual machines on Hyper V (Host again is Windows 2012-no change in host OS). We installed/upgraded Hyper V integration services after OS upgrade.
Now when we tried installing security patches(100+ applicable patches were pushed using IBm Bigfix), a few got installed. The remaining were shown in installed updates list during the patching. But after the mandatory restart, it was showing "Failure to configure update reverting changes" and after all retsarts it shows no new patches(except a few which were released in 2014). I tried manuall installation by downloading and installing from server, but again it failed. Checked the logs and it shows 0x800f0922. I tried suggested methods like clearing temp files and folders, uninstall antivirus, etc. But nothing worked and updates still fails with same error. Kindly help.
