For reference the link included is where started with a problem setting up Server Essentials Experience in WS2016 Standard:
WS 2016 Standard, Active Directory installed followed by Server Essentials Experience, error.
Now that I have this portion so it seems I started to move files from my old WHS2011 server to the new system.
The hardware complement is a Lenovo ThinkServer TD350 70DGCTO1WW with a E5-2500 Motherboard V3, Intel Xeon E52650 v3 2.3ghz 10core processor, Avago Any Raid 720i SCSI controller, 750W power supply, 16GB 2Rx4 PC4 17000R RDIMM Memory. The HD compliment is 1 Seagate 2TB ST2000NM0004-1FT Enterprise (O/S), 4 Seagate 4TB ST4000NM004 Enterprise HDs arranged in a Raid 5 configuration for a total of 10.5TB usable space.
There is installed Cleverbridge Vipre Anti-virus, which is disabled for the purpose of moving files.
The Windows defender role has been removed.
All windows updates were completed before installing/removing any roles.
I have the Server Essentials Experience set up, DC active, and DNS Security is configured.
The Server folders are created and automatic server back-up is scheduled for twice a day.
While in the process moving files, to the tune of 300GB across my LAN from folders of the old server to the new, it seems that it operates smoothly until at some point I have seen either Blue Screen "Critical Process Died". There is a hexadecimal reference code in the Server Manager Events log of 0xa000000 Code 1076. Also ID 513 Microsoft Windows CAPI2 errors.
For the CAPI2 error I found this explanation and fix, but the last line with the very long string did not make sense, therefore I did not attempt the fix.
Event ID 513 when running VSS in Windows Server
Prior to the Blue Screen there were 10+ ID 37 Warnings "The speed of processor 11 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 1 seconds since the last report."
ID 51 Disc Warning, ID: 7034 Error, Microsoft Windows Service Control Manager.
ID 1000 and 1005 application errors...
The other blue message has popped up several times "Your PC will automatically restart in one minute, Windows ran into a problem and needs to restart. You should close this message now and save your work."
I looked this error up online and found this:
Your PC will automatically restart in one minute message in Windows 10
As suggested I cleaned out: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder
Which contained in excess of 400mb of randomly coded files.
With either a manual or automatic back-up I found that the server will restart at around 91-98% of completion. This I am sure has lead to data errors found on the external USB3.0 HD when back-up recommences. The list goes on and on.
I am about to start pulling my hair out to say the least.
Thank You
