Moved Downloads Folder into User

F

Hey, basically I messed up and accidentally moved my downloads folder from my C drive as my user folder. I was trying to move my downloads folder into my F drive so it could be the default downloads folder but I accidentally clicked a button which caused my downloads folder to turn into my user's folder on the C drive.

First I panicked, but I quickly found this helpful answer to the question here: Downloads folder. I followed it down and did all the things. Here's a pic of the regedit.exe file thing.

(***at first I set it the %USERPROFILE%\Downloads but later on, I move it back, you'll see)

After going through all the steps, it still didn't work. I scrolled down to look at all the replies and I saw that the OP said it initially didn't work but he found that the downloads folder didn't behave like a downloads folder. I looked at the folder and it still was and is behaving like a downloads folder, seen below. I couldn't edit the name and when I looked in the Sharing tab it said the name was f_alf which is the folder name for the user.

I looked more at the replies and saw that it might take a while for the folder to update. So I restarted the computer for the 50th time and watched some youtube while crying inside.

After a while, I decide to come back to my computer, and what happened was weird. Now, in both my Quick Access section and the This PC section of the left tab of the files window, the downloads folder was there, but it was empty. I looked everywhere and I couldn't find its actual location so I went on the properties straight from the Quick Access section and moved the location of the folder, this time I created a new folder in my F drive like I was supposed to and moved that folder to my F drive. Everything went smoothly, I even put a text file in there to make sure it was the same downloads folder. That's why on the regedit.exe pic above it says it's in my F drive under downloads.

But the downloads folder that merged with my user's thing on the C drive is still there!!! In fact, in my F drive downloads folder, there is no folder icon even though it's clearly the same folder on the left bar and that one has an icon. The downloads folder on the Quick Access and the one in my F drive also open to two different properties tabs.

Anyway, I'm stumped. I didn't want to try anything else and I just want my old f_alf folder back so I can sleep at night haha. Thanks in advance for any help I get.
