Taking in base this old thread:
IP Helper won't start automatically, despite being set to.
I'm having the same problem, suddenly from one day to another the IP helper's stopped working and after a while I noticed that it was due to be set to manual, and I knew it was not like that before (I was having problems with Teredo/Xbox connections). The service start normally if I start it manually, however after setting it to automatic, it keeps going back to manual after I reboot the PC.
I did nothing that could have provoked this.
However, like in the thread above I use Bitdefender, which blocks the connections with Teredo/Xbox, but I made it work before, and Bitdefender never made any changes in the IP helper's service before and I do not use any kind of Game boost profile that could have be overriding service's settings.
So I was wondering, has anyone had this problem too? Could this be related to BitDefender (which is my guess)?
And how to fix it, because there's gotta be something messing and overriding with the system settings and I'm not finding a solution anywhere
