I have a Dell Inspiron 5748 64-bit with a MATSHITA DVD-R +- RW UJ8E2. I have never tried the burning feature until now, only to find out that I cannot burn. Having used multiple burning programmes, including the Desktop Burning Gadget, Windows Media Player, and CD Burner XP, I come across a message that writes that either the disc is of poor quality (which I don't consider as true since I have heard Verbatim is a descent company) or the disc I am using is not compatible with the drive. Since I have a DVD+- RW, I've read that it can perfectly run most CD's. Some help would be very much appreciated.
Also, I would like to add that I have done all the available Updates for Dell and Microsoft software and I got the message that my drive is the fittest for my PC. I have also followed the steps mentioned in a similar page here and on other sites, with no success at all. Burning speed is x1.
