RDP Audio recording regularly drops

Dear Microsoft Community,

could you please give advices to the following problem with the RDP audio recording.

One of our customers has a problem during sound recording per Remote Desktop audio recording in our dictation software DictaNet and in one another dictation software: aproximately every 20 seconds the recording drops for around 1 second and then goes further. This dropping distords however the information (the word that was dictated).

Further details:

- The network connection is fast. It was also tried to dictate directly in the data center network. The same problem

- Host: Windows Server 2016 Standard. Ist a Hyper-V virtual machine. Hyper-V runs on another Windows Server 2016, that is a physical machine with Intel Xeon E5-2630 v3 2.40 GHz.

- Client: Windows 10

- The host hast 41 GB RAM

- The dropping happens also when CPU has around 10% und RAM 35% load.

- We have alredy played with Network settings in RDP Client options, local group policy for audio and network on the host, turned off the antivirus, used another recording device, another local PC. Nothing helped. Dictation locally does not have such problems. Other customers also do have such problems.

Does anybody have any further suggestions what we can also try or check?

It seems to us that the dropping happens somewhere inside the host system. Or maybe the buffer for the RDP audio data overflows.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Mykhaylo
